LAS VEGAS – Wild fans pining for a reunion of brothers at the trade deadline definitely got one. Just maybe not the one for which they were hoping.

In another trade deadline deal, the Wild acquired center Nick Foligno from the Chicago Blackhawks, reuniting him with younger brother Marcus Foligno in Minnesota. This is the first time the Foligno brothers will play on the same team in the NHL.

To make the deal happen, the Wild agreed to send the Blackhawks future considerations, which usually amounts to nothing in the NHL.

Nick Foligno is 38 years old and is in his third season with the Blackhawks after previous stops with the Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Boston Bruins. He has 11 points (3 goals, 8 assists) in 37 games for the Blackhawks this season after missing significant time due to injury.

In the faceoff circle, Nick Foligno has been winning a little more than 49% of his draws this season. He has done as well as 56% earlier in his career. Marcus Foligno is currently on injured reserve with a lower body injury.
