Police Blotter: Shoplifted luxury workout gear; Kilos of coke by courier
In the span of one hour, Boston Police said they caught three people allegedly stealing luxury workout gear Monday evening at the Prudential Center Mall.
Around 6 p.m., officers stationed in the mall, “as part of an ongoing shoplifting initiative,” were told that someone in the Alo store was concealing something in their jacket, BPD said in a statement.
When officers arrived, they said Brandon Frazier, 38, of Boston, resisted arrest. Ultimately, after additional officers responded, they said they recovered stolen merchandise, fentanyl and crack cocaine on Frazier.
He was charged with shoplifting, possession of a Class A and Class B drug, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and assault and battery on a police officer.
Then, about 40 minutes later, police said they caught a female suspect leaving the Lululemon store with merchandise she allegedly didn’t pay for. When officers approached the suspect, they said she experienced a medical issue and had to be transported to the hospital.
According to BPD, she will receive a summons to Boston Municipal Court for shoplifting.
Twenty minutes after that, at the same store, police said they saw another suspect walk out with two jackets taken from the display.
Anthony Boisvert, 33, of Boston, was arrested and charged with shoplifting, his third offense. Police said that Boisvert also had two warrants for his arrest out of Quincy.
