Howie Carr: Illegal immigrant fraud just another page from Democrat plausible deniability playbook

Leah Foley was right all along.

Gov. Maura Healey’s administration did know about the astonishing levels of Biden-era fraud in the state’s multi-billion-dollar food stamp program, but did nothing to stop it because, well, you know the reason why.

Professional courtesy.

And now all the Democrats’ enabling, stonewalling, alibiing and foot-dragging to Protect the Fraud is detailed in Tim Dunn’s nearby story, based on interviews with a Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) whistleblower.

The bottom line is: they knew, they all knew.

The SNAP fraud problem has always existed here — remember that 10% of official DTA letters in 2012 that were returned as “undeliverable” because the recipients didn’t exist. Gov. Deval Patrick dismissed the corruption back then as nothing but “anecdotes.”

But the grifting got even more out of control in 2021, when Joe Biden rang the dinner bell for the entire Third World. Untold millions of thieving, shiftless criminals flooded into the U.S. with their hands out and their machetes raised.

Joe Biden flew them into Logan, and then Maura Healey set them up in scores of foreign freeloader flophouses across the Commonwealth, squandering $4 billion to pay for their all-expenses-paid crime waves.

The food-stamp scam was just part of it. I remember asking another whistleblower two years ago, if Maura’s pals are pocketing tens of millions supplying the Haitians with three free meals a day for $65-plus per person, why are we giving them food stamps too?

Now we know. Thanks to the feds, and the state auditor, but not because of anything Maura Healey did to stop the steal.

All Healey et al. wanted was plausible deniability, just in case somebody sounded the alarm.

Plausible deniability is an old CIA phrase from the Cold War that “ensures that if secret, illegal or unpopular operations are exposed, top leaders can truthfully deny knowledge, protecting them from accountability.”

Especially in an election year. That’s a good definition from AI, except for the word “truthfully.” From top to bottom, the Democrats knew exactly what was going on, as the whistleblowers’ emails prove.

Did it ever occur to them to call, say, the State Police? Millions were being heisted, under your very nose, and you didn’t think to alert your own cops first?

No, just… the Department of Agriculture tip line. Wink wink nudge nudge.

There are so many scams the hackerama employs to protect all criminals with political, meaning Democrat, protection. They do the same thing with State Police “background checks.” Think LaMar Cook, the gangbanger from Springfield who worked as one of Maura Healey’s top DEI aides in western Mass.

Hey, if LaMar gets caught shipping eight pounds of cocaine to the governor’s personal suite in Springfield, just say the State Police did a background check on him. Oh, but we can’t release the report because the investigation continues…

Last week’s hack cover up was the revelation that in 2023 a state cop killed a disabled man in a Woburn car accident after passing out at the wheel and crossing the center line while driving an MSP cruiser. The trooper then recorded a .11 BAC in the hospital.

But he was never arrested, didn’t even get a ticket. Both the State Police and the Middlesex County district attorney, for whom he worked, now claim they knew nothing about their trooper pal’s fatal crash until last month… more than two years after it occurred.

And the investigating MSP lieutenant was just charged with involuntary manslaughter and perjury — in a different case, a few months later.

Just last week, at a Senate hearing in Washington, acting ICE director Todd Lyons was asked by Florida Sen. Rick Scott to explain why Democrat states conspire to enable the rampant crime by illegal aliens.

“How does that help anybody who lives in that community?” Sen. Scott asked.

Lyons gave him the same answer he’s given before on my radio show and in many other places — that all ICE asks of Democrats is to be given the chance to pick up the fiends at the jail, or courthouse, before they can commit even more crimes.

Being from Massachusetts, Lyons told the senator about a scam local Democrats use to prevent violent foreign criminals from ever having to face justice. You know this story well if you’ve been paying attention, but now it’s been recounted on a national level.

“They would always say,” Lyons explained under oath about Massachusetts Democrats, ”they were gonna cooperate, knowing there were only 12 ICE officers available to respond from Boston to Cape Cod. And they told us we had 15 minutes to get there.”

Kind of like Maura claiming her comrades would always alert the feds to Haitians setting up those million-dollar-fraud storefronts on Blue Hill Avenue. Or to that Dominican restaurant in Leominster. Plausible deniability.

Lyons continued:

“But at the end of the day when that individual was released, they still said, ‘We called ICE.’ And unfortunately, there were way too many cases where we had an individual on Cape Cod, in Barnstable County, that was arrested for rape, was released on the detainer and went and raped again.”

And the Democrats cheered. ICE was foiled. Another “neighbor” freed to rape again. Mission accomplished!

Now Healey’s welfare department says they are going to impose some new rules. Yeah, right. And she didn’t kill those two natural-gas pipelines either.

Mostly tomorrow, though, Maura will be pointing the finger at the guy she always says is really to blame somehow for everything bad that happens, including this latest scandal in the Massachusetts Welfare Industrial Complex.

Donald Trump. Is there anything he can’t do?
