2026 Acura MDX: Breaking Down the Trims and Where the Real Value Actually Sits

On paper, the 2026 Acura MDX looks simple enough, with rather the same shape, familiar formula, and a long list of trims, each one with its own tweaks and specifications.

Exterior

Aesthetically, only two modifications are made that distinguish one trim from another, and they are, in fact, details as opposed to bodywork. An example is the Technology Packs that will be fitted with 20-inch Shark Gray-finished split five-spoke wheels, and the A-Spec that is smarter with Berlina Black 20-inch ten-spoke wheels. Variations are seen on the Type S Advance, which was given more aggressive styling indicators or quad exhaust pipes.

Interior

The base MDX puts comfort ahead of flash, and it shows. Tri-zone climate control comes standard, and the cabin layout stays practical and easy to live with. Materials feel acceptable, though synthetic leather replaces genuine hide at this level. It lacks some features that buyers may think it has like ventilated seats, head-up display, and rain-sensing wipers, among others.

Opt for the Technology Package and the mood changes; the standard upholstery is replaced by perforated Milano premium leather, the contrast stitching is replaced by ambient lighting with an option of 27 colors. This trim also features a three-position memory for the front passenger.

The Advance Package leans fully into comfort with lumbar support, side bolsters, nine-way massage functions, or 16-way power-adjustment front seats. On the other hand, the top-of-the-line Type SS Advance trim completes the scene with quilted Milano premium leather, contrast stitching all around, as well as Ultrasuede seat inserts.

Infotainment

Technology-wise, the 2026 Acura MDX in all its trims features a 12.3-inch screen with standard Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also wireless phone charging, a 19-speaker set-up or a 31-speaker system, depending on the trim involved.

Complete Powertrain Information

Most of the variants share the same V6 3.5-liter engine with a ten-speed automatic transmission. This engine offers a smooth ride. Conversely, the Type S Advance models are more powerful and have a V6 twin-scroll turbine with a power of 355 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque.

Pricing

The pricing list starts at $57,200 for the Technology Package with a FWD. The AWD sets it at $59,400

On the other hand, the AWD A-Spec Package costs $62,400, a bit less than the Advance Package AWD, with a price of $66,900.

The last two remaining trims, the A-Spec Advance AWD is priced at $68,900, while the top of the line Type S Advance can be yours for no less than $75,850.
