Gov. Tim Walz talks with President Donald Trump about immigration enforcement

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz spoke with President Donald Trump Monday morning “with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota,” according a social media post from the president.

“It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength,” the president said.

Trump said he would have border czar Tom Holman call Walz when he’s in the Twin Cities and that federal officials are looking for criminals. Trump has sent Holman to Minnesota following the second fatally shooting by federal agents on Saturday. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse, was killed by a Border Patrol agent in South Minneapolis Saturday morning.

Trump said immigration actions in Washington, D.C., Memphis, and New Orleans had successfully lowered crime.
