Patriots get some bad news in final practice before playoff game vs. Texans
FOXBORO — Patriots starting outside linebacker Harold Landry was the only player absent from the final practice ahead of Sunday’s divisional-round playoff game against the Texans.
Landry returned to action in last week’s wild-card round win over the Chargers after missing two weeks with a knee injury. He was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday.

Patriots get more good news at Thursday practice before Texans playoff game
Cornerback Christian Gonzalez continued to practice in a normal blue jersey after donning a red non-contact jersey on Wednesday. He was a full participant in Thursday’s practice after being limited Wednesday in concussion protocol.
Cornerback Alex Austin (wrist) and running back Terrell Jennings (concussion protocol), both of whom are on injured reserve, were both present Friday.
The Patriots have an open spot on their 53-man roster after waiving running D’Ernest Johnson this week. Johnson re-signed to the practice squad and could be elevated Sunday to provide depth behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. The Patriots’ other option is to activate Jennings from injured reserve.
