2027 Kia Telluride Priced Breaking the $40K Barrier With an All-New Generation
Kia’s Telluride has been one of the easiest three-row SUVs to recommend since it launched, and now it is stepping into its second generation for 2027 with a fresh design, updated tech, and a new price point to match. The big headline is the entry fee: the 2027 Telluride starts at $40,735 for the front-wheel-drive LX, marking the first time the model’s base price has climbed past the $40,000 line.
From there, the trim walk gets expensive in a hurry, depending on how you spec it. The S starts at $43,635 and the EX begins at $45,335, while all-wheel drive adds $2,000 to those trims if you want the extra traction. Jump to the SX and you are looking at $50,335 before options, and the range topper stretches to $58,335 for the SX-Prestige X-Pro, which is squarely in “loaded family hauler” territory.
Kia is also doubling down on the rugged-looking variants that have been popular with buyers. The X-Pro models bring more than just a tougher stance, thanks to a suspension setup with additional travel, increased ground clearance, extra drive modes, and an electronic limited-slip differential. If you mainly want the style without the extra off-road-focused hardware, there’s also the $1,500 X-Line package that leans more into appearance upgrades than true trail capability.
One of the biggest unanswered questions is the Telluride Hybrid, since Kia has not released pricing yet ahead of its expected on-sale timing later this spring. Still, there’s a decent clue in the Hyundai Palisade, which has its hybrid model priced about $4,725 above the standard gas version. If Kia follows that playbook, expect the Telluride Hybrid to land roughly $4,700 higher than the comparable gasoline model, which could push many configurations deeper into the mid-$40K and beyond.
