Police Blotter: Suspects in movie theatre carjacking arrested

Braintree Police arrested two juveniles allegedly involved in a movie theatre carjacking Friday.

The police didn’t identify the suspects, who were arrested on warrants on Monday, because they are juveniles.

Officers were initially called to the AMC theatre on Grandview Road for a report of an armed robbery around 6:30 p.m. The suspects had allegedly approached a woman in her car, tapped on the window, and said they would shoot her if she didn’t get out of her vehicle.

“Fearing for her life, the victim exited the vehicle,” Braintree Police said in a statement, adding that the suspects ultimately did not display a weapon.

The suspects then fled with the vehicle, police said, which Boston Police Department later located unoccupied.
