High school roundup/scores: Tyler Bourgea sets new record at Tewksbury

Star senior Tyler Bourgea remained red-hot with a hat trick and three assists, setting Tewksbury’s (6-0) boys hockey all-time scoring mark with 149 career points as part of a 9-0 MVC/DCL win over Newton South. He broke the school record for career goals (66) in the game prior. The Redmen have at least eight goals in each of their last four games.

Three-point outings from Bill Champion (goal, two assists) and Max Polipas (goal, two assists) paired with Tim O’Toole (goal, assist) and Hunter Fucci (goal, assist) to pace Waltham (7-0) in a 4-2 win over North Andover.

Junior Timmy O’Malley scored four goals and dished an assist, eclipsing the 100-point plateau for Hudson (5-1-1) as it rolled to a 7-1 nonleague win over Agawam. He reached the milestone by assisting teammate Jordan Sousa (hat trick, assist), who reached 100 career points earlier this year with the help of O’Malley. … Jacoby Comeau and Anthony Alessi each scored twice and dished an assist, pairing with a four-point outing from freshman Marc Poste (goal, three assists) to help Lynn erupt to a 7-1 win over Leominster. … Cam McKenna scored twice on the power play, leading Hingham to a 5-0 win over Andover.

Girls hockey

Tenley Simmons (21 saves) notched a shutout, Kyra Brouillard scored her first varsity goal and Meg Costa added an empty-netter, powering Bishop Stang (5-1-1) in a 2-0 win over Arlington Catholic in Catholic Central League action.

Lucey Jean and Morgan Bieler each dialed up hat tricks for Hopkinton (2-4), igniting a 7-0 Tri-Valley League win over Ashland Co-op. The Hillers have won two straight since dropping their first four games. … A goal and two assists apiece from Leah Carlson and Genna MacDonald anchored the attack and Kam Perachi posted a 16-save shutout to boost Medfield past Norwood, 4-0. … Erin Gannon scored twice and Jennifer Lin stood out in net, helping Westwood rebound from a three-goal loss on New Year’s Day with a 5-1 win over Dedham.

Amelia Serino’s two shorthanded goals and three-point days from Reese Ferrara (goal, two assists) and Fran Indrisano (three assists) highlighted Winthrop’s attack, pairing with Riley Towse’s 17 saves to fuel a 4-1 nonleague win over Burlington.

Junie McCabe set up Josie Chang for the lone goal of the game in the second period, helping Winchester earn a 1-0 Middlesex League Liberty win over Arlington.

Boys basketball

Grant Neal dropped 28 points as Lynnfield defeated nonleague opponent Reading, 83-76.

Girls basketball

In nonleague play, Avery Terry notched 18 points, six boards and four assists as Acton-Boxboro topped Newton North, 68-47… Kelsey Hudon finished with 12 points and ten rebounds while Aiva Pitman and Kaylee Maier both added 12 points as Dracut defeated Waltham, 51-47.

Maliah Pierre (17 points) and Leah Daley combined for 28 points as Whitman-Hanson (4-1) took down Patriot League opponent Silver Lake, 47-38.
