Police Blotter: Fatal Watertown crash, reward for murder suspect

Two people died in a multi-vehicle accident in Watertown around noon on Tuesday.

Watertown Police said first responders arrived at the scene on Bigelow Avenue to find that the victims had died from injuries they sustained during the collision.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation involving the Watertown Police and the Massachusetts State Police,” the department said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.”

After the accident, police asked the public to avoid the area so that first responders could continue working.

U.S. Marshals offer reward for double-homicide suspect

The U.S. Marshals and Massachusetts State Police are putting out a renewed request for information on the whereabouts of a suspect wanted for allegedly killing two teens in Brockton earlier this year.

Davinci Leonard was charged with two counts of homicide for the deaths of Tymari Albertson and Cevannah Alvarez, who were 15 and 18 years old at the time they were killed in March.

Police said they’ve been searching for Leonard since he fled the scene of the shooting.

Now, U.S. Marshals are offering $7,500 to anyone who helps them locate Leonard, who they believe may be in Haiti or the Dominican Republic.
