Police Blotter: 26-year-old woman killed in Quincy
A Quincy man faces murder charges after being found with stab wounds and a deceased woman in an apartment Saturday night, the Norfolk DA announced Sunday.
At about 11 p.m. Saturday night, Quincy Police received a 911 call and were dispatched to an apartment complex at 500 Falls Boulevard, the DA’s office and police department reported.
At the apartment, officers found a 26-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man with serious injuries inside the building.
The woman, who’s name was not released as of Sunday night pending the notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man sustained apparent stab wounds and was taken to a Boston hospital for treatment, the release said. The man was identified as Guiovani Garcia of Quincy.
Garcia faces murder charges and is scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy on Monday, officials said.
Officials said Massachusetts State Police, Quincy Police, Quincy Fire Department and Brewster Ambulance assisted at the scene, and state police Crime Scene Services Section and chemists assigned to the Crime Lab are assisting.
The investigation is active and ongoing, officials said Sunday.

Boston Police responded to 217 incidents in the 24-hour period ending at 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the department’s incident log. Those included arrests for one robbery, six aggravated assaults, one residential burglary, one larceny from a vehicle, 18 miscellaneous larcenies, and one auto theft.
