Mercedes delivers cockpit-like-fun with AMG SL 63 S

Hang on to your hat, this is a fun one!

The cockpit experience isn’t for every driver, but those who have the need for speed and luxury appeal, look no further than the SL 63 S E Performance by Mercedes.

As a long-timer in the Mercedes fleet, the SL class delivers that luxury feel but with the utmost power and handling for those “hair in the wind” consumers always looking for more.

With a $200K+ base price, the SL 63 is powered by a 4.0L V8 biturbo handcrafted AMG engine with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor producing 805 earth-shattering horsepower and 1,047 ground-pounding lb-ft of torque. This convertible monster on four wheels has AMG all-wheel drive, AMG active ride control suspension, AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system, AMG performance exhaust and an AMG 9-speed transmission. Did you get all of that? This thing is no slouch, that’s for sure!

Wrapped in a gorgeous Moonlight White Magno exterior and Tartufo Brown interior, the AMG SL 63 S E Performance is the car for going fast, looking good and ensuring you have the only one on the block.

With an array of extras slapped on our week-long tester, we enjoyed the 21-inch AMG forged black wheels, black microfiber headliner and Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system. Whether on the highway to work, enjoying mountainous backroads or even the windy curves on trips, the SL 63 brings all of the fun.

As a close family friend always told me, the Mercedes Benz SL class is the top of the class. Consumers can enjoy their endless need for speed, comfort and style, and perhaps give them a good reason to park far away at shopping malls. Our SL 63 S E Performance was unlike any other Mercedes we have tested. It really showed out well and was a pleasure to drive. Its cockpit style was certainly a thrill and one consumers can enjoy for years to come.
