Boston Police Blotter: Stolen gun, shoplifting

Boston Police are looking for a suspect in a stolen gun investigation.

Detectives said the gun was stolen around 4 a.m. outside of 46 Monadnock Street in Roxbury on Saturday. The suspect allegedly entered the a motor vehicle and stole the firearm, which was loaded.

Police described the suspect as a light-skinned man, who was seen in footage wearing a black winter hat, a green or gray jacket, a black hoodie, black, baggy pants, and white and black sneakers.

They said he was last seen on Dudley St. walking towards East Cottage St.

Detectives from District B-2 are currently investigating and asking anyone who may have information about the larceny or suspect to contact them at (617) 343-4275.

Incident Summary

BPD responded to 169 incidents in the 24-hour period ending at 10 a.m. Monday, according to the department’s incident log. Those included arrests for two robberies, four aggravated assaults, two commercial burglaries, one larceny from a vehicle, and 23 miscellaneous larcenies.

— Daniel Mckenzie, 11 Woodville St., Everett. Operating under the influence of liquor.

— Hugo Vindel, 61 Marlborough St., Chelsea. Operating under the influence of liquor.

— Alicia St Louis, 70 Lyndhurst St., Boston. Shoplifting by asportation.

— Rachon McMillion, 1110 River St., Hyde Park. Assault and battery on a person 60+ years old, with injury.

— Tara Chartier, 79 Massachusetts Ave., Boston. Shoplifting by asportation.

— Yajaira Nieves-Velez, 11 McCusker Dr., Braintree. Shoplifting more than $100 by asportation.

— Linda Gross, 129 Marlborough St., Boston. Malicious destruction of property less than $1,200.

— Clayton Watts, 9 Carol Cir., West Roxbury. Shoplifting more than $100 by asportation.

— Ernest Laurent, 14 Tesla St., Boston. Larceny under $1,200.

— Scott Mehlinger, 193 Rice Ave., Revere. Possession of a Class A drug.

— Piotr Olszewski, 130 State St., Chicopee. Warrant arrest.

— Edson Leon, 8 Averton, St., Roslindale. Motor vehicle operator refused to identify themself.

— Daniel Osorno, 25 5th St. Lowell. Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
