Boston Police Blotter: ‘Multi-town Crime spree’ suspects arrested

Police have arrested two suspects in what they are calling a “multi-town crime spree.”

Pembroke and Massachusetts State Police arrested Fernando Torres, 37, of Providence, RI, and Victoria Lambert, 29 of Warwick, RI, on Sunday at a gas station.

Torres has been charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, threat to commit a crime, assault and battery, and armed assault to rob a person over 60. Police charged Lambert with accessory after the fact.

Duxbury Police say that they responded to a disturbance in the area of Arrowhead Rd., around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. A victim on the scene said that a man in a tan sedan had pulled along side him and exited the vehicle with a boxcutter. The suspect held the box cutter to the victim and said, “Give me everything.”

After taking the victim’s coat and Apple watch, the suspect fled in the sedan driven by a female suspect, according to police. The description of the suspects and vehicle, which had Rhode Island plates, matched suspects and a vehicle allegedly involved in similar crimes in Plymouth and Kingston earlier that day.

The vehicle was also later identified as stolen from Rhode Island, according to police.

Police issued a “be on the look out” for the suspects and vehicle, but they ultimately used the “Find My” app on the Duxbury victim’s phone to locate Torres and Lambert at the Pembroke gas station, where police recovered allegedly stolen goods.
