Massachusetts man arrested twice in a day accused of assaulting tow yard workers

A 19-year-old man was arrested twice in a day, according to Mass State Police who say he assaulted a pair of tow yard workers in Charlestown.

Medford man Diogo Silva is facing several charges — including assault and battery with a deadly weapon causing serious injury — after the Thursday night tow yard incident.

Earlier in the day, Silva had been arrested by State Police, and he was charged with operating with a suspended license.

Then at night, he tried to retrieve his vehicle from the Charlestown tow yard.

“When the tow company refused to release the car, the suspect attempted to drive the vehicle off the lot,” State Police said in a statement.

“The operator struck and injured two employees in their 50s before fleeing the scene,” State Police added.
