$10M gift to McLean Hospital
The Phyllis and Jerome Lyle Rappaport Foundation has announced a $10 million gift to McLean Hospital toward the creation of a new child and adolescent campus in Belmont.
The new 90,000 square foot campus is projected to house a wide range of residential and partial hospital programs and community and recreational spaces.
“Through the philanthropic mission begun by my late husband Jerry, we strive to support new generations of researchers, scholars, and leaders who inspire, innovate and influence advancements in medical research, the arts, and public policy,” said Rappaport Foundation Chairwoman Phyllis Rappaport.
The new child and adolescent campus is one highlight of McLean’s “The Way Forward” campaign, which seeks to raise $225 million to transform the hospital’s future. The campaign is not only the largest in McLean’s history but also the largest of any psychiatric hospital in the nation.
