Boston Police Blotter: Assault, shoplifting, drug distribution

Boston police officers arrested a 31-year-old man on Tuesday after reportedly witnessing a series of drug deals.

Officers patrolling the area of Roxbury Street and Washington Street Tuesday evening allegedly saw William Allen meeting with three people before entering a store.

Officers stopped two of the alleged suspects after meeting with the Boston man, recovering bags of crack cocaine from each of them. They were both told that they would be summonsed for possession of a class B substance.

Allen was then searched, and police reportedly found 36 bags of crack cocaine in his possession.

Allen was arrested and charged with two counts of distribution of class B drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to distribute.

Incident summary

BPD reports that its officers responded to 241 incidents in its 24-hour report ending at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Those include one robbery, and three instances of miscellaneous larceny.

All of the below-named defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

– Frederick LaGrasse, 1867 Commonwealth Ave., Brighton. Possession of Class B drug.

– Paul Worthen, 111 Main St., Peabody. External warrant arrest.

– Andrew Davenport, no address listed. External warrant arrest.

– Christopher Owens, 835 Huntington Ave., Roxbury. Shoplifting by asportation.

– Jenisteen Tomlinson, 2 Hancock St., Quincy. Assault with dangerous weapon and armed carjacking.

– Shamyia Banks, 37 Warner St., Dorchester. Assault and battery on family/household member.

– William Allen, 55 Catbird, Boston. Distributing Class B drug.

– Jerome Childs, 43 Torey, Dorchester. Operating motor vehicle with license suspended.

– Nava’e Chandler, 922 Main St., Weymouth. Assault and battery of pregnant victim.

– Brian Contreras, 50 Sumner St., East Boston. Assault with dangerous weapon.
