Keys for the Vikings

— There’s no doubt the Vikings have to find a way to limit superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson. That’s a given. That said, the Vikings are going to have put up points to have a chance against the Ravens, which will likely fall on the shoulders of young quarterback J.J. McCarthy. As much as McCarthy showed was marked growth while leading the Vikings to an upset over the Detroit Lions last weekend, he shouldn’t be able to do too much. It will be crucial that the Vikings get the rushing attack going against the Ravens. That will take some pressure off of McCarthy as he continues his development.

Keys for the Ravens

— The offense should be able to have some success regardless of circumstance. Which defense is going to show up? That’s the biggest question for the Ravens. Though that group struggled mightily a couple of months ago, it has looked different since acquiring safety Alohi Gilman in a trade. That has allowed star safety Kyle Hamilton to roam which, in turn, seems to have unlocked something in the defense over the past few games. If that upward trajectory continues for the Ravens, they should be able to bother McCarthy in and out of the pocket.
