Boston Police Blotter: Suspect in series of commercial burglaries

Boston Police is asking the public for help identifying a suspect who’s allegedly tied to several commercial burglaries downtown over the past two months.

The suspect allegedly used a pry tool to enter businesses overnight, with similar burglaries reported by Boston University Police, Cambridge Police and Northeastern University Police. Stolen items include credit cards, cash, electronics and camera equipment.

The department describes the suspect as a Black male with a beard.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the police department at 617-343-4571. Anonymous tips can be submitted via the CrimeStoppers Tip Line.

Incident summary

The Boston Police Department reports that its officers responded to 251 incidents in its summary ending at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Those include two robberies, 12 aggravated assaults, two thefts from vehicles, four stolen cars and 24 instances of miscellaneous larceny.

All of the below-named defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

– Heather Harper, 230 Georgetowne Pl., Hyde Park. Possession of Class B drug.

– Paris Flores-Cormier, no address listed. Possession of Class A drug.

– Paul Sumbry, 1 Kimball Ct., Woburn. Possession of Class B drug.

– Manuel Peters, 31 Wellington Hill, Mattapan. Possession of Class B drug.

– Cristofer Valdez, 263 Talbot Ave., Dorchester. Operating motor vehicle in violation of license class.

– Christen Croft, 1 Carol Way, Salem. Breaking and entering vehicle/boat in daytime for felony.

– Jaimie Sheehan, 65 Plainfield Ave., Malden. Larceny under $1,200.

– Renford Boswell, 109 Devon, Boston.

– Robert Tate, 102 Hanover St., Lynn. Possession to distribute Class C drug.

– Christopher Powell, 104 Sagamore St., Quincy. External warrant arrest.

– Luis Abreu-Shanlatte, 92 Maple St., Roxbury. Possession of Class B drug.

– Brian Giguere, 780 Albany St., Boston. Shoplifting more than $100 by asportation.

– Alexander Melendez, no address listed. Shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

– Steven Lajoie, 112 Southampton St., Boston. Larceny under $1,200.
