Red Sox lineup: Romy Gonzalez batting leadoff in new-look lineup

With a lefty on the mound for the Blue Jays on Sunday, the Red Sox lineup looks a little different than normal.

Romy Gonzalez will bat leadoff for the second time this season, with the only other instance coming back on April 12 against the White Sox. The left-handed hitting Roman Anthony will bat second, followed by three righties in Rob Refsnyder, Carlos Narvaez and Trevor Story.

Jarren Duran, Boston’s usual leadoff hitter, will bat sixth. Duran is batting .213 with a .547 OPS against lefties this year, a notable drop-off from his .273/.792 marks against righties.

Walker Buehler (5-5, 6.29) will take the mound for the Red Sox against Toronto’s Eric Lauer (4-1, 2.21). Buehler is coming off a tough start in which he allowed five runs on three hits, seven walks and two hit batsmen over four innings last Monday in Anaheim.
