ISTANBUL (AP) — The latest round of direct peace talks between Russia and Ukraine ended Monday after just over an hour, according to Russian state media and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Speaking in Vilnius, Lithuania, Zelenskyy said a new release of prisoners of war was being prepared.

The second round of negotiations in just over two weeks in Istanbul came after a string of stunning attacks over the weekend and expectations were low for any significant progress on ending the 3-year-old war.
