Cask ‘n Flagon bouncer accused of raping woman in men’s bathroom heads to trial

A bouncer at Cask ‘n Flagon who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman inside the men’s bathroom is heading to trial.

Dorchester man Michael Campbell, 32, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 21-year-old woman while working as a bouncer at Cask ‘n Flagon in September of 2022.

According to the Suffolk DA’s office, the alleged victim knocked on the Fenway bar’s door to ask to use the bathroom at around 1:51 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2022.

“Campbell let her in although the bar was closed to customers and staff were actively closing the restaurant,” the Suffolk DA’s office wrote.

“Campbell walked the victim, who was observed to be unsteady on her feet, swaying, and focusing on her phone, into the men’s bathroom where he sexually assaulted her,” the office added.

Campbell has been charged with one count of rape, and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

Jury selection in the trial is now complete.
