In the South Coast Conference, Sean Lundrigan (double, 2 RBI), Garret Butler (double, one RBI), Lucas Tremblay (double, one RBI), and Gabe Zuber (two RBI) paved the offense as Apponequet defeated Bishop Stang 6-2.

Blake Freitas hit an RBI triple, walked and scored a run, while Anthony Moura, Braeden Murphy and Jake Attaway combined to pitch a three-hitter on the mound as Hudson (13-7) defeated Marlboro 4-1 in the Midland Wachusett League Division B.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Akira Umbello netted seven goals and dished an assist, while Mia Curley scored five goals as St. John Paul II (12-6) defeated Dennis-Yarmouth 18-8 in the Cape and Islands League.

In a nonleague contest, Scarlett Mirak (seven goals, assist, nine draw controls) and Karleigh Mutch (two goals, six draw controls) led the way for Concord-Carlisle in a 16-15 overtime win over Franklin. … Delaney Auger scored her 100th career goal in a five goal and three assist effort as Nashoba Tech defeated Tri-County 14-3. … Reese Hansen (four goals, assist) and Avery Regan (four goals) paced Cohasset (17-2) during an 18-6 victory over Hanover.

In the Northeastern Conference, Kathryn Commoss scored five goals as Marblehead (12-6) rolled to a 15-1 win over Saugus.

In the Tri-Valley League, senior Oliva Melanson netted four goals to go with 11 draw controls, and Ashley Cairney and Kaitlyn McMahon buried four goals apiece as Medway (8-10) erupted for a 21-5 victory over Bellingham.

SOFTBALL

Alana Fidalgo hit a game-winning three-run homer in the last of the seventh to give West Bridgewater an 8-6 nonleague win over Rockland. … Reese Taylor struck out seven and allowed seven hits, two earned runs and three walks over seven innings of work, while Marissa Kelly (1-for-2, RBI, run, walk) and Arianna Camara (2-for-3, double, two RBI, two runs) homered as Apponequet (17-5) topped New Bedford, 9-6.

Olivia DiSessa (2-for-4, run, two RBI) and Abbey Sousa (2-for-3, four RBI) led the offense, while Adyson Newhall struck out four and allowed two hits over six innings as St. Mary’s (Lynn) defeated Arlington Catholic 8-5 in the Catholic Central League.

Sharlotte Stazinski tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and surrendered two walks, while Caroline Doran (3-for-4) and Abby Riley (1-for-2) tripled, drove in a run and scored a run each as Walpole bested Milton 6-0 in the Bay State Conference.

Brooke Braswell (2-for-3, home run, triple, six RBI), Nevaeh Eth (home run, four runs, two RBI) and Aliany Ramirez (4-for-4, triple, double, four runs, four RBI) had great days offensively for Lynn Classical in a 28-7 Greater Boston League win over Chelsea.

Kiley Hogan (3-for-4, home run, double, three RBI, three runs), Katie O’Keefe (3-for-4, double, two RBI, three runs) and Sydney Haslam (3-for-4, three RBI, run) had multiple hits for Tyngsboro in an 11-6 win over Littleton in the Midland Wachusett League Division C.

Emma Penniman (10 strikeouts) and Jillian Gusto drove in two runs each as Triton (14-6) beat Manchester-Essex 4-2 in the Cape Ann League.

In the Patriot League, Mady Bryan and Delaney Moquin each drove in two runs as Silver Lake (17-3) rolled to a 9-1 win over Hingham.

In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference game, Morgan Haskell struck out 14 batters to lead Greater Lowell (13-5) past Greater Lawrence Tech 5-2.

BOYS LACROSSE

Jay Domelowicz scored the game-winning goal with seven seconds left to give Swampscott a 7-6 win over archrival Marblehead in the Northeastern Conference.

CLASS NOTES

The HDSA Team Hope Walk for the Battling Brown’s Team will take place on June 7 at Castle Island at 9 a.m. The walk is a fundraiser for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.

The disease affects the local high school community as Wellesley athletic director John Brown’s wife Jennifer suffers from it.
