Erin Andrews, who had been expecting her second child through surrogacy, revealed the heartbreaking news that she’s now grieving a miscarriage.

On Thursday, Andrews announced the loss of the baby on an episode of her podcast “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa,” which she co-hosts with Charissa Thompson.  “I didn’t want to do this podcast today,” Erin tearfully admitted, “We got some real s–tty news today that our surrogate had miscarried.”

While this isn’t the first time Andrews and her husband Jarret Stoll have experienced the loss of a pregnancy, the NFL sportscaster says she was optimistic about expanding their family as it seemed to be a healthy pregnancy.

“I have dealt with this before, but things were going really, really well,” Andrews explained. “And her little heartbeat and her numbers were really good — so much so I even told you guys a couple weeks ago because we thought we had such good news.”

Andrews, who is already mom to 2-year-old son Mack, got the news shortly before recording the episode but ultimately decided to share the difficult update with her listeners.

“Been sitting here thinking about Taylor Swift’s song, ‘I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.’ I’m really good at doing this s–t with a broken heart,” she said, noting that her producer gave her the option to not bring up the topic on the episode.

“I think I kinda made a promise to myself that when I was really open with how s–tty infertility has been and our journey with two surrogates, because we did lose … we had loss with our first surrogate and then luckily with our second one, we had Mack, that I was just going to be honest with people.”

The 47-year-old has openly spoken about her fertility struggles after being diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016. Following several unsuccessful rounds of IVF, Andrews decided to move forward with surrogacy. But, in 2023, she announced she had lost twins. Later that year, Andrews welcomed her first baby with the help of another surrogate.

“When I was first dealing with all these infertility issues and loss that I just wanted to let other people know that we’re dealing with them, that I get it and I understand. And I’m going to do that again.”
