Summer Nights in Rice offers free concerts in St. Paul’s Rice Park

For the fourth year, Summer Nights in Rice will offer six free concerts in downtown St. Paul’s Rice Park.

The concerts take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Parking is available on-street and in the nearby Lawson, Science Museum and RiverCentre ramps. In case of rain or inclement weather, concerts will be moved into Landmark Center. Restroom facilities for the concerts will be available at Landmark Center throughout the series.

The lineup includes:

June 19: Pete Whitman and Mississippi; contemporary jazz in a special concert in honor of the Twin Cities Jazz Festival.

June 26: Ethno USA On the Road; folk, world and traditional music by nine international musicians.

July 10: Boiled in Lead; Celtic punk and world music.

July 31: Kendra Glenn Band; R&B, blues and soul.

Aug. 7: Café Accordion Orchestra; French flare, Latin heat and bohemian attitude.

Aug. 21: International Reggae All Stars; reggae, dancehall and Bob Marley classics.

Summer Nights in Rice is presented by Rice Park Association in conjunction with the Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project.
