BASEBALL

In the Patriot League, Max LaMonica went the distance with 12 strikeouts as North Quincy defeated Scituate, 5-2.

Aidan Murphy went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI as Weston defeated Cambridge 5-2 in the Dual County League.

Gustavo Bosques had two doubles and four RBI as BC High (10-5) defeated Central Catholic 13-2 in a nonleague contest. … Drew Boucher had three hits and two runs scored, while Luis Hernandez and Leandro Perez each had two RBI as Newton North defeated Lexington, 7-4.

BOYS LACROSSE

In the Mayflower League, Peyton Volz set a new school record for career goals at 172 as Southeastern defeated Cardinal Spellman, 14-1. … Carson Croft and Luke Renzi each scored three times as Manchester-Essex defeated Masconomet, 14-8.

Quinn Donovan had four goals and an assist as Pingree defeated Milton Academy 12-4 in a NEPSAC contest. … Duncan Vittands and Alex Quinn each scored three goals as Austin Prep defeated Vermont Academy, 13-5.

GIRLS LACROSSE

In a nonleague game, Julianna Lanzillo led all scorers with four goals to lead Chelmsford (11-4) past  Ashland, 13-1. … Maddy Lubin tallied six goals as Ursuline edged Oliver Ames 12-11 in overtime. … Clare Latham finished with six goals to boost Bishop Feehan to a 17-3 victory over Holliston.

SOFTBALL

Camryn Cloonan and Edy LaTour each drove in three runs as Dighton-Rehoboth rolled to a 14-1 win over Greater New Bedford in the South Coast Conference.

Caitlin Sweeney, Claire Hauck and Maddie Andrade all homered as Latin Academy defeated Martha’s Vineyard, 17-4.

In the Greater Boston League, senior captain Nevaeh Eth went 3-for-4 with two homers, including the 100th of her career, four RBI and four runs scored as Lynn Classical toppled Malden 20-9.

VOLLEYBALL

Connor Bessette had nine kills and 12 blocks, while Max Rose added 22 assists as Dighton-Rehoboth swept King Philip 3-0 in a non league contest.

FOOTBALL

Shawn Theriault was named the new head football coach at Billerica. He replaces Duane Sigsbury, who stepped down following the 2024 season
