Hungary April 2025: Toyota #1, Suzuki Vitara and Skoda Octavia neck on neck

Toyota is the most popular carmaker in Hungary in April.

10,785 new cars hit Hungarian roads in April, up 3.6% year-on-year and leading to a year-to-date tally up 3.8% to 43,688. Toyota scores its first win since July, overstepping traditional leader Suzuki, down to 10.2% share vs. 12.5% so far this year. Skoda rounds out the podium ahead of Ford, Volkswagen and  Nissan. Year-to-date, BYD (+153.6%), Ford (+99.5%), Kia (+33.2%) and Renault (+18.2%) post the largest gains. Model-wise, the Suzuki Vitara edges past the Skoda Octavia to claim the win for just one units, with the Nissan Qashqai at #3 ahead of the Kia Ceed. Leader year-to-date, the Suzuki S-Cross falls to #5 for the month.
