Saturday’s high school roundup/scores: Georgetown’s Ollie Thibeault goes 5-for-5, drives in winning run in 11th

Ollie Thibeault was 5-for-5 including a walk-off single in the 11th to give Georgetown a 5-4 baseball win over Hamilton-Wenham.

Josh Doney’s three-run double and Jared Paone’s two-run double capped a rally as St. Mary’s (12-1) defeated Bishop Fenwick 6-4 in the Catholic Central League. Shea Newhall earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief and Doney came on in the seventh to register the save.

In the Cape Ann League, Pat Stewart struck out eight and Julien Powers recorded a pair of hits for two RBI to power Pentucket (6-6) to a 6-1 victory over Essex Tech. … Luke Disilvio threw a complete-game two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and also added three hits and three RBI as Lynnfield blanked Newburyport, 12-0.

The inaugural Don Fredericks Memorial Day Baseball Tournament will take place May 23-24 at Braintree High School. The event is named for Fredericks, the legendary former Braintree baseball coach and MIAA Baseball Tournament Director who passed away last May after a short battle with cancer.

On the first day, Plymouth North and BC High meet at 4, followed by Westwood-Braintree at 6:30 p.m. Consolation and championship games are scheduled for the following day starting at 11 a.m.

Softball

Ellie Russo and Brit Harding each had a pair of hits as Reading rolled to a 9-2 win over Wilmington in a Middlesex League crossover contest.

Aliza Crean-Oviedo fanned 10 as St. Mary’s (6-4) edged Bishop Fenwick 2-1 in the Catholic Central League. … In nonleague action, Edy LaTour earned the win, striking out six and driving in a pair of runs as Dighton-Rehoboth defeated Bridgewater-Raynham, 6-2.

Riley Egan slugged a three-run homer as East Bridgewater outlasted Middleboro 4-3 in South Shore League action.

Boys lacrosse

In a nonleague game, Will Crawford won 23 of 25 faceoffs along with a pair of goals and Jack Quigley added a pair, including the game-winner with 30 seconds remaining as St. John’s Prep edged La Salle (RI), 14-13. … Cooper Dunham had six goals and three assists as Danvers edged Tewksbury, 15-14. … Willy Robinson netted seven goals and three assists as Scituate (10-3) cruised over Milton 17-6.

In the NEPSAC, Max Becker recorded 20 saves and Connor O’Neil tallied five goals and two assists as Pingree defeated New Hampton, 9-4.

Girls lacrosse

Holly Panttila tallied three goals and four assists, while Margot Bonnevie and Charlise Cox both added hat tricks as Norwell rolled to a 16-3 victory over Dover-Sherborn in nonleague action. …   Bella Duffy scored six goals, including the 250th of her career, as Braintree defeated Pembroke, 15-5.

In the Cape and Islands League, Julia Kipperman scored 10 times with three assists as Nauset edged St. John Paul II 15-14.
