St. Thomas hosting Emily Dickinson readings to celebrate poetry month
In celebration of National Poetry Month, the University of St. Thomas hosts its fourth Emily Dickinson reading marathon from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Frey Library, 2115 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Readers from the St. Thomas community and others will drop in to take turns reading Dickinson’s poems aloud, in order, from No. 1 to No. 1,789. Visitors are encouraged to come and go throughout the day, and see Dickinson-themed displays by students.
