BOYS LACROSSE

Willy Robinson, Owen Hofford and Owen Quinn sniped four goals apiece, as Scituate pulled away for a convincing 21-2 drubbing of Patriot League foe North Quincy.

Ryan Hill buried five goals, and Alex Filip scored his first goal of the year as Minuteman (4-2) defeated Nashoba 10-7 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

Ben Tondorf (three assists) and Eamon Haley (assist) tallied five goals each, while Mario LaRosa finished with two goals and four assists as South Shore Voke (7-1) coasted to a 14-4 Mayflower Athletic Conference win over Blue Hills.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Oscar Goodeker, Nate O’Connell and Eric Ohanyan recorded eight kills each, while Owen Murphy provided 18 assists as Cambridge topped Lincoln-Sudbury 3-0 in a Dual County League contest. … Zach O’Donnell’s 41 assists got Finn Bell (14 kills) and Dylan Engelhardt (10 kills) involved plenty to lead Wayland (6-4) past Acton-Boxboro, 3-0, for a second time.

BASKETBALL

Ryan Sheehan has stepped down as head coach at Xaverian after six successful seasons at the helm. The highlight of his tenure was in 2024 when he guided the Hawks to a berth in the Division 1 state semifinals.

“We would like to thank Ryan for turning our program around and building a culture that is second to none,” the school posted on its Twitter feed. “We appreciate Coach Sheehan’s dedication to Xaverian and our student-athletes.”
