Patriots Day 250th anniversary schedule: When to catch parades, reenactments and more

Here’s a lineup of events to take place during the Patriots Day festivities as the 250th anniversary of the first Revolutionary War battles approaches.

April 16:

The American Revolution: An Evening with Ken Burns Presented by the BSO & GBH in Boston – A preview Burns’s film, musical performances, and more at 7:30 p.m. at Symphony Hall. Followed by screenings in Concord and Lexington on April 17.

April 17:

Patriot Vigil in Concord – A lantern-light procession, recitation of the names of American Revolution soldiers, music and more at 7:30 p.m. at North Bridge.

April 18:

Isaac Davis Trail March Commemoration in Acton – A march commemorating the start of the Revolutionary War at 6:30 a.m. at the Isaac Davis homestead at 39 Hayward Rd.

Paul Revere’s Ride to Revolution Commemoration in Boston – A tour of the Freedom Trail to commemorate Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride at 8 p.m. at the Paul Revere House in North Square.

250th Anniversary Lantern Service in Boston – A lantern service will honor the “one if by land, two if by sea” lighting at the church at 7 p.m. at Old North Church.

Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride Reenactment in Lexington – A free live reenactment at 10 p.m. at Hancock-Clarke House.

“Shadows of 1775” play in Lynnfield – An original play about the story of Lynn End at 7 p.m. at Centre Congregational Church Chapel.

April 19:

Reenactment of the Battle of Lexington – A live dawn reenactment at 5:15 a.m. at Lexington Battle Green.

Dawn Salute in Concord – A live reenactment at 6 a.m. at North Bridge. Followed by parade and block party.

USS Lexington Ceremony – A free celebration of the five U.S. Navy vessels named for “USS Lexington” at 9 a.m. at the USS Lexington Memorial.

2025 Patriots’ Day Parade in Lexington – A parade starting at 2 p.m. along Massachusetts Avenue. Followed by Lexington Bicentennial Band Concert.

18th Century Encampment and Muster in Agawam – An encampment and militia muster at 10 a.m. at the Thomas Smith House.

Commemoration and Reenactment in Norwood – An event to honor 60 South Dedham (present-day Norwood) American Revolution soldiers at 10 a.m. at Old Parish Cemetery.

March to Concord from Sudbury and Townsend – Reenactments starting at 5 a.m. at Sudbury Town Hall and 11 a.m. at the Townsend Common.

Candlelight Tribute in Westford – A tribute at 7 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery.

April 20:

Battle of Menotomy Reenactment in Arlington – A commemoration at 2 p.m. at Mass Ave and Grove Street.

April 21:

Battle Road Anniversary Hike in Concord – A 4-mile guided hike of the Battle Road trail to Fiske Hill at a time and location provided to registered participants.

Old Scituate Reacts: Patriots Day 1775 Interactive Play in Norwell and Scituate  – A play at 11:00 a.m. at First Parish of Norwell and 1:30 p.m. at First Parish of Scituate.
