Red Sox lineups: Walker Buehler to take mound for finale
Walker Buehler will take the hill Thursday as the Red Sox look to avoid a four-game home sweep at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Buehler has gotten off to a rocky start to his first season with the Red Sox, posting a 8.68 ERA through his first two outings. The right-hander allowed five runs over five innings his last time out against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday but will be looking to bounce back against Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt (1-0, 0.71).
Offensively the Red Sox will roll out a similar lineup to what they’ve used throughout the season, with Jarren Duran, Rafael Devers, Alex Bregman, Triston Casas and Trevor Story comprising the top five spots. Boston has only scored four runs through the first three games and will be looking to get the bats going in order to finish the current seven-game homestand with a winning record.
