Baseball

Brayden Francis threw a no-hitter, striking out eight and walking one over seven innings of work for Gloucester in an 8-0 nonleague win over Haverhill.

Daniel Vazquez pitched a complete game, striking out seven and allowing three earned runs as Medfield defeated Dover-Sherborn 5-3 in the Tri-Valley League. Nathan Bills went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Warriors.

In the Greater Boston League, junior righty Ryan McMahon surrendered just one hit over five innings of work, while senior captain Bo Bogan Stead drove in three runs to help Malden edge Somerville, 5-4.

Boys lacrosse

Thomas Hern (six goals, six assists), Shaun Teehan (four goals), Lucas Gangi (hat trick), Brody Forman (goal) and Logan McAndrew (goal) paced things offensively for Oliver Ames in a 15-1 Hockomock League victory over Taunton.

Chase Dreystadt and Mikey Ferraro scored four goals each, while Dexter Izzo notched two goals and Rocco Ruggiero had three goals and two assists as Bishop Feehan beat Bishop Fenwick 21-2 in Catholic Central League play.

In the Catholic Conference, Danny Cahill (two goals, assist) and Ryan McCarthy (two goals) paced the charge as St. John’s Prep (3-0) cruised to a 12-1 victory over Malden Catholic.

Senior Vin Winter buried six goals and dished out two assists, while Finn Wright (four goals) and Luke Wile (goal, three assists) added a boost as Ipswich knocked off Cape Ann League foe Pentucket, 14-9.

In the South Shore League, Shane Mulcahy (three goals, four assists), Max Monahan (three goals, assist), Taighe Dwyer (three goals, assist) and Gus Greene (three goals) each registered a hat trick as part of a 19-0 shutout of rival East Bridgewater.

Girls lacrosse

Reese Bromby netted six goals and provided an assist, while Amelia Price finished with four goals and two assists as Newburyport took down Georgetown 19-6 in the Cape Ann League. … Allie Wiley scored four goals and caused three turnovers, while Lyla Greenleaf tallied a hat trick as Ispwich topped Pentucket, 10-5.

In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference game, Samantha Richards (four goals) and Alanna Alden (two goals, one assist) led Nashoba Tech to a 6-5 victory over Northeast Metro Tech.

Emily Regan (two goals), Avery Regan (two goals) and Kate Greer (goal, three assists) powered a balanced attack of 14 different goal scorers as Cohasset (3-0) rolled to a 17-1 South Shore League win over East Bridgewater.

Kayla Isleib and Chloe Finch scored two goals each as Oliver Ames defeated Taunton 18-8 in the Hockomock League.

Ella Steele buried the winning goal for Norton in overtime to give the Lancers an 11-10 Tri-Valley League victory over Bellingham. … Kendall Herrick (six goals, two assists), Izzy Kittredge (four goals, three assists) and Maeve Kelly (four goals, assist) fueled Medfield in a 17-5 win over Dover-Sherborn.

Ava Nason (five goals) scored the winner for St. Mary’s (Lynn) (3-2) in a 9-8 Catholic Central League victory over Archbishop Williams.

In a Catholic Conference bout, Maddy Lubov (four goals, two assists), Lauren Kelley (four goals, assist), Meera Raskin (three goals, five assists) and Rowan Luber (two goals, assist) each lit up the scoreboard as Ursuline cruised to an 18-4 romp of Fontbonne.

In a nonleague contest, Bella Duffy notched eight goals, an assist and four draw controls, while Ella MacDonald had four goals and three assists as Braintree bested Quincy, 14-7. … Kiera Fitzpatrick (six goals, four assists), Kate Fitzpatrick (two goals), Elizabeth Descheneaux (two goals), Allie Bolduc (two goals, two assists), MJ Petisce, Chloe Pickett and Lexi McKenna scored for Methuen in a 15-14 win over Arlington.

In NEPSAC action, Alexis Stempien and Ava Souza each scored seven goals as Berwick (2-0) defeated Tilton, 16-6.

Boys volleyball

Teddy Addesa recorded 10 kills and eight blocks, while Charles Ke chipped in with eight kills and 12 digs as Andover swept Central Catholic 3-0 in a Merrimack Valley Conference matchup. … Logan Uy anchored the defense with 42 digs, and Aundre Rivera (10 kills) and Vitou Seng (32 assists) paced the offense as Lowell (3-1) bested Haverhill, 3-0. … Liam Quinn (24 kills, three aces, reached 500 career kills) and Ridty Tauch (10 kills, two aces) set the tone for Chelmsford in a 3-1 win over Lawrence.
