Josh Doney fired six innings of work, surrendering just three hits while striking out nine as St. Mary’s (Lynn) knocked off Milton, 3-1, in nonleague action. … Junior John Wallingford fired six innings, allowing two runs while striking out nine to pace Cohasset during a 7-4 victory over local rival Scituate.

Johnny Escobalez Jr. pitched five shutout innings, giving up three hits while striking out eight as Taunton defeated Foxboro 6-0 in the Hockomock League. … AJ Baroncelli surrendered one hit while striking out seven over five and two-thirds innings, and Drew Hall hit a two-run double as Oliver Ames (1-0) edged Franklin, 2-1.

Steven Alphas went the distance, allowing three hits and no earned runs as Dover-Sherborn (2-0) defeated Bellingham 5-4 in the Tri-Valley League.

Boys lacrosse

In the Mayflower League, Peyton Volz recorded eight goals as Southeastern defeated Blue Hills 16-5. … Ben Tondorf notched six goals and three assists while Eamon Haley added four goals and one assist as South Shore Tech topped Bristol-Plymouth 13-5.

Gavin Shipos tallied his 100th career goal, finding the net five times to go with three assists as Medway routed Norton 21-4 in the Tri-Valley League.

Mikey Curtin struck for five goals, while Gabe Bennett and Fionn Coughlin scored two goals each as Salem defeated Lynn 14-5 in a nonleague contest. … Jackson McClay, Neil Sullivan and Henri Barriere notched two goals apiece as Archbishop Williams edged Foxboro, 6-5. … Aaron Preston, Elliot Lindberg and Caius Mari hit the back of the net for two goals each in Somerset Berkley’s first program win over Taunton.

In the Tri-Valley League, Alessandra Cautilli (4-for-4, triple, double) and Allyson Fagan (three-run homer) drove in four runs apiece, as Medway (1-0) erupted for a 16-4 victory over rival Medfield. … Julia Walsh went 4-for-4 with six RBI, and Audrey Tartaglia drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly to give Dedham a 7-6 victory over Norwood.

Boys volleyball

Anthony Rubim had 11 service points, six assists and four digs as Greater Lawrence (1-1) swept KIPP 3-0 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.
