Wednesday’s high school roundup/scores: Will Nunes powers Austin Prep past Kent School

Will Nunes put up 27 points, and Jimmy Vahey (14 points, six rebounds) and Marvin L’Italien-Avery (11 points, three rebounds) broke into double figures in scoring also as Austin Prep defeated Kent School (Connecticut) 67-52 in a NEPSAC boys basketball matchup.

Kordell Philemon tallied 22 points, while Tony Dean had 16 points and six blocks as Stoneham (7-0) defeated Triton 64-37 in a nonleague contest.

In the Mayflower Athletic Conference, Patrick Johnson dropped 12 points, while Jayden Fraser added 10 points for South Shore Voke (2-6) in a 60-49 win over Upper Cape.

Junior guard Ace Burris paced his team with 15 points, while freshman forward Aidan McGrath drained 14 points as North Quincy (7-1) edged Scituate in the Patriot League, 60-56.

Girls basketball

Muji Vader scored 12 points, and Achol Manyang chipped in with nine points as Minuteman (4-1) bested Shawsheen 37-16 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

Freshman Sarah Michel delivered a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds, while senior Bella Sulfaro contributed 13 points and five assists as Blue Hills (6-0) erased a halftime deficit and pulled away for a 43-31 Mayflower Athletic Conference win over Tri-County.

Molly Lucas (16 points) and Cailey Kelleher (10 points) set the tone for Rockland in a 48-36 South Shore League victory over Hull.

Maeve Powers recorded 20 points, and Jen Xue finished with 13 points as North Quincy (6-1) defeated Scituate 66-40 in the Patriot League.
