ROUNDUP

BOYS BASKETBALL

Sophomore TJ Allen collected 23 points and 15 rebounds while senior Jacob Pichay finished with 15 points and three assists as St. Sebastian’s won 66-53 over Independent Schools League opponent Roxbury Latin.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Alissa Marcella netted 15 points as Pembroke (5-0) took down Sandwick 32-26 in nonleague action.

In the South Shore League, Jenna Oman dropped 22 points as East Bridgewater topped Middleboro 61-36.

Junior Kayla DaSilva notched a game-high 11 points as West Bridgewater defeated Fairhaven 51-32.

BOYS HOCKEY

Jayden Vargas scored a pair of goals to help Essex Tech defeat Amesbury, 5-3, in the Cape Ann League.

Cam McKenna tallied two, including the game-winner in overtime, as Hingham snuck past Duxbury 4-3 in Patriot League play.

In MVC/DCL play, Colin Robinson scored three times as Methuen edged Haverhill, 7-6.

Preston Abbott, Dominick Cerundolo and Will Carey scored twice as Marblehead (1-4) defeated Beverly 4-1 in the Northeastern Conference.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Penny Saich scored twice, including the winner in overtime, as Norwell/Scituate/Abington defeated Plymouth, 2-1, in a Patriot League contest. … Jenna Henley had four goals as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake rolled over Quincy/North Quincy 9-3.

Giada Musa scored twice, Natalia Elson tallied a pair of assists and Avery Savage picked up her second win in goal with 12 saves as Pope Francis (4-3) defeated Central Catholic, 6-3, in nonleague play.

In the Northeastern Conference, Meredith Johnson had a pair of goals as Beverly/Danvers won 3-1 over Gloucester.

Nora Hurley collected two tallies and an assist while freshman Rylan Collins notched the shutout as Andover blanked MVC/DCL opponent Westford Academy 5-0.

WRESTLING

Myles Figueroa (106), Ethan Kadish (113), Ryan Spahiu (126), Matt Radulski (157), Alex Prohm (175), and Joe Schirmer (285) were all 3-0 on the day as Hingham swept Norton (53-12), Granby (67-0) and Monty Tech (50-25).

CLASS NOTES

The 10th annual Andrew Lawson Invitational will take place on Saturday, Jan. 11 at TD Garden. The event honors the memory of Andrew Larson, who competed in three sports at Norwell High despite having down syndrome. He passed away in February 2018 after a two-year battle with cancer.

The day of basketball begins with a pair of unified basketball games featuring Silver Lake-Duxbury (8 a.m.) and Andover-Fairhaven (9). That will be followed by two girls basketball games with Hull-Hingham (10) and Saugus-Marblehead (11:30). Hamilton-Wenham-Milford (1) kick off a quartet of boys games which include Dedham-Norwood (2:30), Monomoy-Bourne (4) and Waltham-Ayer Shirley (5:30).

The nightcap ends with Tabor Academy-Dexter Southfield girls at 7 and Cushing Academy-Newman (8:30).

The Citi Teams Hoop Classic will take place on Sunday, Jan. 19 at Emmanuel College. The event features six boys basketball games starting with Cristo Rey and New Mission at noon. That will be followed by St. Mary’s-Everett (1:30), Brockton-Cambridge (3), Brookline-Wareham (4:30), Bridgewater-Raynham-Lowell (6) and Clinton-Grace Christian-Malden Catholic (7:30).
