BOYS BASKETBALL
In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference matchup, Dalton Kinnon tallied 27 points as Mystic Valley defeated Northeast, 70-39.
Jordan Rodriguez scored 15 points as Saugus (3-4) held off Winthrop 51-49 in the Northeastern Conference.
In Greater Boston League action, Rolky Brea-Arias recorded 20 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists while Shy Babb added 22 points to lead Lynn Classical to a 68-57 victory over Everett. …Denzell Guillen put up 26 points and had eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals to lead Lynn English to a 82-33 win over Malden.
Shawn Clary dropped in 23 points with five triples as Norton topped Blue Hills 76-52 in nonleague action. … Hunter Wood led all scorers with 32 points to pace Austin Prep to a 79-57 victory over Rocky Hill.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Emilia Maria-Babcock notched her first double-double of the season with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists as Everett topped Chelsea, 59-32, in a Greater Boston League matchup.
In a Northeastern Conference contest, Peyton Dibiaso scored 22 points to lead Saugus past Winthrop, 46-40.
Sawyer Bradford scored 26 points as Hanover defeated Plymouth South 50-46 in the Patriot League.
GIRLS HOCKEY
In nonleague play, Abby Stock notched a power play tally while Caitlin Tureski and Lauren Raffetto added goals as Canton defeated Nauset, 3-1.
BOYS HOCKEY
Nolan O’Sullivan’s goal with 1:27 left gave BC High a 2-2 nonleague tie with Natick.
CLASS NOTES
Former Somerville High standout athlete and athletic director Jerry Knight will be the first inductee into the Somerville High School Athletics Ring of Honor. He will be honored on Friday, January 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Somerville High School Brune Field House.
Knight was a track and basketball star at the school, graduating in 1961. He later served as a coach and athletic director at the school before retiring in 2005.
