Three candidates are running for the White Bear Township Supervisor Seat B in November’s election.

What would your top priorities be if elected? Road maintenance, infrastructure, recreation, water issues.

What qualifies you to hold this position? Prior experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager, Small Business Owner, Planning Commissioner, Economic Advisory Commission.

What do you think is the primary role of government? In its most simple terms, it is to keep society orderly.

How do you work to understand, and then learn from, opinions that differ from your own and people who disagree with you? Ask people with differing opinions to discuss, balance the pros and cons. Sometimes agree to disagree.

What would your top priorities be if elected? Keeping the small town feel of the township.

What qualifies you to hold this position? My experience on the township planning commission and treasurer of the Ramsey Washington Cable Commission. Building contractor and small business owner. And now my Information Technology project manager experience.

What do you think is the primary role of government? To serve the people.

How do you work to understand, and then learn from, opinions that differ from your own and people who disagree with you? Listening and then finding ways to be collaborative.

What would your top priorities be if elected? Supporting the goals and policies defined by the Towns Comprehensive Plan and Supporting the requirements of Town Ordinances

What qualifies you to hold this position? I have a strong background in Town Government and a great working relationship with the Towns Boards, Commissions, Staff and residents after serving as the Towns Planner from 1991 to 2021.

What do you think is the primary role of government? Serving the public.

How do you work to understand, and then learn from, opinions that differ from your own and people who disagree with you? By listening to residents comments and supporting their view. If I disagree with their opinion, I will try to clearly explain why.
