Who’s writing and directing The Old Guard 2?

After Gina Prince-Bythewood (who directed and produced the first film) steps down as director, producer, and battle axe wielder, Victoria Mahoney will take over. Mahoney became the first Black woman to direct a Star Wars production in 2019 with her role as second-unit director on The Rise of Skywalker. Before this, she directed episodes of Lovecraft Country and Queen Sugar. Rucka, who penned both the previous film and the comics that inspired it, returns to pen the script for the upcoming sequel.
