Vikings receiver Jordan Addison has been a limited participant in practice this week at TCO Performance Center. Not that he has any doubts about playing in Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Asked if he expects to make his return this weekend, Addison responded, “I do.” He suffered an ankle injury in a Week 1 win over the New York Giants, then missed the Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers and the Week 3 win over the Houston Texans.

“I’m feeling good right now,” Addison said. “I’m ready to go.”

The ankle injury occurred when Addison was tackled by Giants linebacker Darius Muasau after catching a screen pass in the flat. Upon further review, the NFL deemed it was a hip drop tackle by Muasau, and he was fined $4,696 as a result.

Though he admitted it’s been tough to watch from the sideline, Addison has remained patient so not to risk a setback of any sort.

“Just been staying the course,” he said. “I know my time is coming.”

Now, it appears that time has come, and Addison can’t wait to get back on the field.

“We’re hot right now,” he said. “I’m eager to get back out there and ball out with the team.”

Darrisaw misses practice

The injury report for the Vikings was pretty lengthy once again with a noticeable addition.

After participating earlier this week, left tackle Christian Darrisaw missed Thursday’s practice with an illness. It will be interesting to see how he’s listed when the Vikings release their official injury report ahead of Sunday’s game.

Some other notable players who did not practice included linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. (ankle), defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard (knee) and safety Jay Ward (knee). The limited participants aside from Addison included center Garrett Bradbury (ankle), tight end Josh Oliver (wrist) and linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee).

Meanwhile, edge rusher Dallas Turner (knee) was a full participant in practice, which likely means he’s on track to play for the Vikings.

Love still limited

Though the injury report for the Packers was also pretty lengthy, the most important name was franchise quarterback Jordan Love. He suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in a Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and he hasn’t played since.

It does seem like Love is getting close to making his return. He was listed as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.

There’s a very good chance the Packers take it up until the deadline — 90 minutes before kickoff — as far as determining whether Love will play against the Vikings. If he does not, backup quarterback Malik Willis would quarterback the Packers for the third game in a row.
