2024 Acura MDX Type S is still a great flagship!
As Acura has been away from Grasso’s Garage for awhile, it was time to get them back and make room in the busy schedule for a overdue review. The Acura MDX Type-S is here and worth a wait is an understatement.
First, power at the driver’s demand is an understatement as Acura sticks with what works best; the 355 horsepower 3.0 liter direct injection turbo 6-cylinder engine. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, the Acura MDX Type-S means business. Seating for 7-passengers, the MDX has been a staple in the Acura fleet as their endless success has ensured consumers, it is here to stay.
Our Type-S was wrapped in Liquid Carbon Metallic and came with AWD and the Advanced package which included a slew of must-haves. Styling package, Navigation with voice recognition, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, Sport steering wheel and pedals, ventilated seats, remote engine start, LED fog lights and much more. These items are in addition to the standard features already outlined in the MDX. With final production located in East Liberty, Ohio, Acura is doing a great job overall with their flagship and continued improvements as the original MDX was released in late 2000 and 24 years later, their 4th generation is still a great success.
Acura easily does a stand up job with their entire fleet. From valuation on the purchase side all the way to resale value, the Acura fleet easily is one of the best. As technology has always been their strong suit, which keeps their mid-30’s to mid-40 year old family oriented clientele apprised, the MDX also suits an array of other consumers such as people movers, comfort lovers, sportiness and aesthetic pleasure seekers. The Type-S adds to the already great people mover while enjoyment is second to none.
