Patriots add needed offensive tackle depth by signing Jalen McKenzie
The Patriots signed offensive tackle Jalen McKenzie to their practice squad Monday.
McKenzie, 25, most recently spent time with the Raiders. The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder went undrafted out of USC in 2022 and began his career with the Titans. He’s also been with the Seahawks but has yet to make his NFL regular-season debut.

Patriots left tackle Vederian Lowe is currently dealing with a knee injury. Offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor also left the team after Week 1 and is on a reserve list, ineligible to return this season.
That leaves the Patriots with rookie Caedan Wallace, Mike Onwenu and Demontrey Jacobs as the only healthy tackles on the 53-man roster. They also have 6-foot-9, 370-pound offensive tackle Caleb Jones on the practice squad.
McKenzie has experience at left and right tackle. The Patriots have played Okorafor, Lowe, Wallace and Jacobs at left tackle so far this season.
