Thursday Pickorama

The goal is to show improvement on a weekly basis.

Using that as a barometer, we did make some progress in the second week. We checked in with a decent 8-2 mark, boosting our winning percentage to .700 for the season.

One theme that has been common so far is our inability to get coaches over the 200-win mark. For the second straight week, we hitched our wagons on Melrose in hopes that Tim Morris would win his 200th game only to come up empty. It would come as no surprise moving forward if the Melrose Athletic Department and the Morris Family decide not to let the Herald know when they play again.

Our other setback came in what may have been the Game of the Week. Leominster and its stellar quarterback Osiris Lopez battled back all night long and emerged with a wild 36-35 win over Milford, giving us our second loss.
