2024 Cadillac Lyriq is modern EV enjoyment

As manufacturers are on the chase to keep up with the competition, Cadillac delivers the Lyriq to Grasso’s Garage as its first ever all EV release to the market. This Chevrolet Blazer EV sized SUV delivers great size, comfort, modern styling, all of which comes with a price.

Our tester, the loaded up Sport 3, came with a base price just under $70K, making the 5-seater EV SUV the top of the pricing category in those similar in size and usage. For General Motors upscale brand, Cadillac has had an uphill battle with overcoming customer objections towards price and sportiness, as they do everything they can to keep the historic Pontiac and Oldsmobile consumers towards their Buick brand, vehicle keeping the sportiness and luxury alive with Cadillac. As the EV push is on, Cadillac needed answers and quick and the Lyriq was born.

Wrapped in Stellar Black Metallic, which really glimmered in the summer sun, the Lyriq showed out nicely and was paired with a black interior. The interior was upscale and sporty, while still maintaining its typical GM easy to use infotainment system. Seats were exceptionally comfortable once becoming acclimated to the seats positioning options and standard massaging seats. Added options included the $1,600 panoramic sunroof and $3,500 electric propulsion AWD option which included trailer prep for towing.

While riding on 22 inch midnight finished alloy wheels, our all black Cadillac was very futuristic and modern on the eyes, while it gave off the luxury and exclusivity from the brand that consumers enjoy. Although pricy for the market, the upscale brand did a good job in designing, manufacturing and rolling out the Lyriq to consumers. With 307 miles available on a full-charge, the Lyriq is really a great all EV option and good migration for the brand as they continue to dive into the EV needs for consumers abound.
