FIELD HOCKEY
After a slow first half that saw No. 10 Central Catholic struggle to maintain possession in the offensive zone, it turned things around with a big second half to rally past No. 5 Andover, 3-2, for a signature Merrimack Valley Conference win. Senior captain Kerri Finneran assisted Caitlin Milner on both of her goals in the third quarter to put the No. 10 Raiders (5-0-1) ahead, before Finneran added her own goal for insurance in the fourth quarter.
The Golden Warriors (4-1) charged back to nearly tie things up, but their goal with under one minute left was called back to secure Central Catholic’s first road win against Andover in program history.
“We just set a little Central history,” head coach Josselyn Wilson said. “This feels amazing. Obviously, being the program’s only coach and just seeing how far we’ve come. … We had a really young group three years ago, so I told them this was three years in the making. We’re just excited to see them put it together.”
Julia Okenquist earned the shutout as Uxbridge silenced Doherty, 5-0, in a nonleague matchup. … Katherine Flaherty scored two goals while Cat Colvin, Haley Gagnon, Cassidy Roche, and Kayla Murphy each added another as Pentucket topped Swampscott, 6-0.
In the Middlesex League, Mackenzie Clarke (two goals) and Ryan Brodigan (two assists) led the attack as Belmont defeated Arlington, 4-1. … Bridget Scully and Lauren Parsons tallied two goals each for Stoneham in a 6-0 victory over Wakefield. … Rachel Egan potted four goals, and Ava Anderson scored her first varsity goal as Watertown (5-0) downed Wilmington, 7-0.
Caroline Pitts netted a hat trick as Chelmsford defeated North Andover 5-1 in the Merrimack Valley Conference.
Shea Larkee scored her fourth hat trick of the season, and Ava O’Neil made 12 saves as Norwood defeated Holliston 6-1 in the Tri-Valley League.
Shannon Lane hit the back of the cage three times as Canton rolled to a 12-0 Hockomock League win over Milford.
Alivia Barnes (two goals, assist), Quinn Jordan (two goals, assist), Elisabeth Stuzman (two goals) and Rachel Birch scored as Sandwich (5-0) beat Norwell 7-0 in the South Shore League.
Mia Zimmerman struck for four goals, and Emery Capallo had a hat trick and two assists as Monomoy routed St. John Paul II 9-0 in the Cape and Islands League.
Meghan Hourihan scored twice as Nashoba (5-0-1) edged Wachusett 4-3 in Mid-Wach A action.

Anthony Miele and Hunter Pomella scored for Silver Lake (3-1), and Logan McLeod secured the shutout in a 2-0 Patriot League win over Duxbury. … Luke Ackerman scored the winning goal, and Mike McNabb found the net twice as Hingham (4-0) bested Plymouth North, 3-1.
Milad Sassin netted two goals, and Max Arredondo supplied two assists as Swampscott defeated Gloucester 3-0 in the Northeastern Conference.
In a non league matchup, Kacper Kowalczyk scored for Peabody in a 1-0 win over Haverhill.
Jamo Velez scored twice for Concord-Carlisle in a 3-0 Dual County League win over Cambridge.

In the South Coast Conference, Kylie Fuller (hat trick, assist) shouldered things offensively, as West Bridgewater erupted for a 7-0 shutout of rival Fairhaven. … CeCe Levrault scored four goals and dished an assist as Apponequet (2-3) defeated Greater New Bedford, 9-2.
Isabella Strong scored her first varsity goal for Austin Prep in a 6-0 NEPSAC win over BUA.
In the South Shore League, Senior Elly Thomas (one goal, two assists) became the fourth player in school history to reach 100 points as Hull defeated Abington, 7-2.
Natalie Stouch scored two goals, and Alicia Umeorah had a goal and two assists as Acton- Boxboro topped Waltham 3-0 in the Dual County League.
Sydney Rokita (two goals, two assists) and Destanee Soba (two goals) paced the offense, and Kali Christakos made five saves as Nashoba defeated Whittier 4-1 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.
Brooke Moloney scored a hat trick for St. Mary’s (Lynn) (3-1-1) in a 7-1 Catholic Central League victory over Arlington Catholic.

Drew Golden shot a one-under par 35 as Hingham (6-1) beat Marshfield 235-239 in the Patriot League.
Connor Walsh and Mike McCormack shot one-under par 35 each for Xaverian (6-0) in a 216-222 Catholic Conference win over St. John’s (Shrewsbury).
Will Goldstein shot a one-under par 35 for Weston in a 43-29 Dual County League win over Lincoln-Sudbury.

Greta Sachs had 15 kills and five blocks, and Mari Modryznska had nine kills, four aces and 11 digs as Marblehead (4-2) topped Peabody 3-1 in the Northeastern Conference.
Elle McCormack dished 34 assists, and Aubrie Gomes collected seven kills as Greater New Bedford (6-0) earned a 3-1 South Coast Conference win over Apponequet.
BOYS LACROSSE
Dover-Sherborn coach Brian McLaughlin announced his retirement after a tremendous 24-year career. He amassed an overall record of 378-132, captured 10 Tri-Valley League titles as well as six state championships (2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021). He coached 17 All-Americans and his 378 wins ranks among the top 10 in state history.
