2024 Volvo V60 is recharged amazingness

Volvo is easily the best and most endorsed vehicle in Grasso’s Garage and for good reason. Their easy display of comfort and luxury is actually shocking to me, but their design stands out the most.

Appeal is in the eye of the beholder, and this week’s tester, the Volvo V60 Recharge confirms this because in our eyes, this type of appeal, usability and power is second to none. The V60 Recharge gets Polestar engineering added to its 2024 model and this PHEV is one amazing vehicle. While sitting low like a sedan, but having space like a SUV, is the wagon mentality and with hybrid technology from Polestar, our Onyx Black tester came standard with 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque from the 2.0 Liter turbocharged 4-cylinder T8 eAWD Plug-in hybrid engine. Paired nicely with a 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, this combination defines smooth power and luxury while others should take note. A 0-60 acceleration of 4.3 seconds was witnessed, while an overall 31 mpg combined was exciting. 40 miles on just electric charge was available, while overall we noticed 535 miles on a tank of gas.

I don’t know how else to say it, but the Volvo V60 Recharge is simply perfection for consumers looking for that sedan ride, with SUV space, while having excellent fuel mileage and instant power and torque. This is a winning combination and one that Volvo will not only leave other manufacturers in the dust, but one that will increase the brands presence and bottom line. Did I mention all-wheel drive? Yup, check that box also!

How consumers looking in today’s market are not giving the Volvo Brand a serious look, is shocking to me. As a Volvo XC60 owner myself, this brand is easily the top of the list in Grasso’s Garage and with the V60 going hybrid, this confirms it’s time to order one for myself. To say this is the overall vehicle of the year in 2024, is an understatement.
