Due to an anonymous threat of potential violence, officials called off a regularly scheduled contest between Dover-Sherborn and Dedham. In a release, the Dedham Police Department said there was a call made in the morning regarding a threat at the football game. While they didn’t think the call was credible, the schools chose to exercise on the side of caution and called off the contest.

According to Dedham athletic director Steve Traister, the game will be played on the weekend of October 4-5 as both teams have a regularly scheduled bye.
