The Mazda3 is up to #15 in August.

New car sales in Poland edge up 2.4% year-on-year in August to 36,324 units. This brings the year-to-date total up 14.9% to 349,310. However their market share are above their YTD levels at 19.4% vs. 18.8% for Toyota and 6.6% vs 6.3% for Kia. In contrast Skoda (+19.6%) lodges a 10.2% share vs. 11% YTD. Audi (+27.1%) also shines at #4 vs. #6 year-to-date, while Volkswagen (+1.4%), Hyundai (-4.7%), Mercedes (+41.9%) and BMW (+2.6%) ensure the Top 8 is identical to July. Mazda (+69.3%), Lexus (+62.9%) and Ford (+48.3%) also impress below, just as Cupra (+7.7%) breaks into the YTD Top 15 at #15.

Toyota monopolises the podium in the models ranking, with the Corolla (-47.4%) in the lead despite suffering a devastating blow, followed by a euphoric Yaris Cross (+75.9%) and the Yaris (-13.2%). The Kia Sportage (+98.3%) is down two spots on July to #4 but posts a solid uptick. The Hyundai Tucson (-0.3%) and Skoda Octavia (-5%) can’t capitalise on the market growth whereas the Toyota C-HR (+8.2%) and Cupra Formentor (+16.3%) excel. The Dacia Duster (+1.6%) and VW T-Roc (-15%) round out the Top 10. Notice also the Mazda CX-30 up to a record #12, the Mazda3 up to #15, the Honda CR-V up to #26 and the Mercedes GLC Coupe up to #39.
