Class notes
The Melrose Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting its 2024 Class on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 at Melrose Memorial Hall with a 6 p.m. start time. Prior to the event, there will be a plaque ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at the Melrose High School Learning Commons, where athletes will be presented with their induction plaques and their exceptional athletic achievements will be highlighted.
Those being inducted are Donald MacInnes (Class of 1956, hockey), Ken Runge, (Class of 1981, baseball), Tim Reilly (Class of 1981, hockey), Keith H. Bowden (co-Founder of Melrose Athletic Hall of Fame), Mike Sweezey (Class of 1997, wrestling, football), Sarah McGowan (Class of 2013, volleyball, tennis), Brooke Bell (Class of 2013, volleyball, basketball), Eric Mercer (Class of 2014, football, hockey, lacrosse), Samantha D’Alessandro (Class of 2018, swimming) and Bionca St. Fleur (Class of 2013, track and field)
