The Patriots must trim their roster down to at least 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday, the NFL’s league-wide deadline for finalizing regular-season rosters.

Executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf has final say over the roster, and may opt to claim players waived by other teams after Tuesday’s deadline. The Patriots’ final roster is likely to be finalized on Wednesday afternoon or later.

Until then, follow the Herald’s live tracker for every release, waiver claim and possible trade below.

Monday

1:55 p.m. Outside linebacker William Bradley-King has been waived, according to a source. Bradley-King made a late push in recent practices, and repped on special teams, but came up short after a slow start to the summer. He joined the team last October as a midseason addition to the practice squad. Bradley-King was a seventh-round pick in 2021.

1:20 p.m. The Patriots are waiving rookie linebacker Steele Chambers, per the Herald’s Doug Kyed.

The front office claimed Chambers off waivers last June. He never practiced with the team’s starting defense in training camp. He originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State.

1:15 p.m. Defensive lineman Sam Roberts and wide receiver Kawaan Baker have been informed they’re being waived, according to Herald sources.

Roberts, a sixth-round pick in 2022, never gained traction this summer after making the team outright the past two years. He appeared in a dozen games for the Patriots, earning one start and seven tackles. The Patriots may opt to replenish their depth via the waiver wire, given the suspect depth along their defensive line.

The Pats’ remaining D-linemen are Davon Godchaux, Keion White, Daniel Ekuale, Deatrich Wise, Jeremiah Pharms Jr., Armon Watts, Trysten Hill and Josiah Bronson and Jothan Russell.

Baker never cracked the team’s starting offense or backup unit during training camp. He signed a futures contract last February after entering the league as a seventh-round pick of the Saints in 2021.

1 p.m. Patriots cornerback Azizi Hearn and tight end La’Michael Pettway have been released, according to the Herald’s Doug Kyed.

Both were considered long shots to make the roster. Hearn returned to the Patriots after finishing last season on the practice squad, but never took starting snaps in training camp during a crowded cornerback competition.

Pettway also fell behind veterans Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Mitchell Wilcox and seventh-round rookie Jaheim Bell. He could be a candidate to return to the practice squad, with Henry and Wilcox both battling injuries.

11:25 a.m. The Patriots have opened roster cuts by releasing long snapper Tucker Addington, per the Herald’s Doug Kyed. Joe Cardona is expected to serve as the team’s starter for a 10th straight season. Addington joined the team midway through training camp, as the coaching staff staged a position competition between kickers Chad Ryland and Joey Slye.
